Most schools have 2 programs. The program paperwork must be turned into the office of JoAnna Clark, at The Academy of Performing Arts, with all of the schools' guidelines and rules. If the student needs to make some of the hours up, they can always be a student leader or office worker.
Requirement 1: Five (5) Hours of Class
Requirement 2: Fifteen (15) Hours of Class
*With Requirement 2, the student is allowed to get out of school early or arrives late.
Some districts charge for this program. We split the fees by the number of girls enrolled in the program. If only one dancer is enrolled in the program then that dancer's parents are solely responsible for the full amount of the cost of the class. All payments must be paid by check or cash in order to avoid a 6% increase in the cost. If the parent wishes to pay by credit card, they will be charged the cost of the class plus an amount equal to 6% to cover the costs of the credit card processing fees.
Conroe: Charges $100.00
Klein: Charges $200.00
Consistent attendance is crucial. The student is responsible for attending all classes and competitions as well as any extra practices that may be scheduled. If the student has absences within any grading period, they must make up those classes within that same grading period.
The dancer and/or the dancers parents, are in charge of providing to Academy of Performing Arts any paperwork designated by the school district to be signed. Pursuant to district policies, the instructor is required to sign documentation at each individual class. All paperwork must be one during normal office hours.
If the dancer is a competitive dancer, they must complete the entire season with the studio, even if they are only being graded for one (1) semester.
The dancer's grades are affected by their attendance, work ethic and behavior in class.
